The Husband and the Movie Theatre

My husband, Jesse, took me to a movie theatre. It was almost abandoned, save three people who worked there. The tiles were falling out of the ceiling and there were leaks everywhere. It looked like a building that should have been condemned a long time ago. There were only about eight people there, not including us, for the movie. As we entered the theatre, we realized something was horribly, horribly wrong. Jesse and I sat in the back right row with one of the girls while everyone else sat in the middle, close to the screen. Hugh Jackson came in and sat beside Jesse, the girl, and myself. The lights lowered and the "movie" started.

As the lights lowered, creatures came out of the walls and started feeding on the people in the middle. Jesse, the girl, Hugh Jackson, and myself ducked and crawled under the row of seats in front of us so that the creatures wouldn't see us. I can only describe the creatures as bat like with griffin features. They had red eyes and yellow teeth and yellow talons.

While the creatures were distracted feeding upon the small group of people, the four of us sneaked out of the theatre and into the lobby, careful to avoid anyone that might work there. We made it outside to our car and jumped in. Jesse started the car but only the battery would cut on. We lifted the hood to find that one of the people who worked there must have cut our belt so that we couldn't go anywhere. I whispered to Jesse to call Geico so that we could be towed out of there - but he proceeded to call a friend to have that friend to pick us up. Until then, we hunkered down in a locked car and hoped that no one would see us.

Hugh Jackson crept out of the car to a car next to us and checked under the hood and proceeded to do that for all cars in the lot. They all had the same issue - a cut belt. The girl started to cry. I hugged her and whispered to her that we were going to be OK. Just then, one of the movie theatre workers came out. We hid behind a car and watched him do a visual sweep of the parking lot. When he was finally satisfied that no one had escaped, he went back into the theatre and cut off the lights.

The friend Jesse called finally showed up. He turned off all of his lights and glided into the parking lot. We jumped into his car and left. I looked behind me and felt sorry for the people who turned into dinner and a movie.
